Coast The Walks

Just got book with over 50 walks inspired by Beebs Coast. Be handy to plan walks for next summer near Brighton and in Wales.

Good value at £7. 99 down from £20. Those looking to buy books for Xmas gifts it's an ideal time to have a look.

Dinosaurs

In Cardiff Musuem, just been through the dinosaur section. The ones on display a lot bigger than E's!

Wooly mammoths next, what was the name of the one in Sesame Street??

Plenty of art on display which Laura and Lisa would like. 1500s to modern day.

One thing both hotels I've stayed in is they are both missing a bath! Could do with a long soak after all my walking!

Barry Island

Very brief visit to Barry Island. Weather gone down hill! Drizzle changed to heavy rain. All the rides shut down for winter. Brave dog walkers on the sandy beach. Amusements were open, never win on the fruities so staying clear!

Train due in 10 minutes, back to Cardiff to find somewhere to get dry and warm.  Rain drops just played havoc on touchscreen of my phone!

Bar for G, microbrewery on situ.

Just seen a good use for a Tescos bag, rain hat!

What A Difference A Day Makes

As expected no sun today! Fine drizzle at the moment.

Feel like a tourist today, rucksack on my back and camera case on my front. See if the all weather cover on the Lowepro bag lives upto its name!!

Soreen maltloaf for breakfast, urban hiker today!

Going with G's mention of Barry this morning and see what the weather looks like for the rest of the day.

Cardiff Bay

Rather than catch the bus or a train from Cardiff centre I decided to walk down to Cardiff Bay. Used the old fashioned! road signs instead of Google Maps on my phone.

Plenty of places to eat and drink around the bay.

Techniquest looks like a good place for kids to get "hands on" on the exibits (G think E would definatley enjoy it, Anna and Vic may do too!)

Got some HD video footage of 2 boats using the locks in the bay barrier. Must of used gallons and gallons of water to flood the lock. (will try uploading video to Youtube in HD once home then update this blog with the link if it works.

Could of used a 10 times zoom lens for my camera as I'm sure I could see the Severn Bridge on the horizon!

Even managed to get a Xmas pressy for Gerard and Elly (G a video which isn't your cup of tea!!)

Best finish for now and check tomorrow's weather, pretty sure heavy rain so will be my waterproof! camera for pictures and video.

Slim Seagulls

Finding a theme during my travels in Wales, they don't like fat seagulls!

First of all in Conwy now Cardiff. Wonder if tomorrow I'll come across anymore signs?

Ever so peaceful sat between the docks and where the yachts are. Wetlands full of ducks and fauna.

Impressive flats and hotels nearby. Can see them being very expensive to rent or own or stay at!

Hello to Sunny who I met on the train down to Cardiff. Sunny is a student from China studying in Cardiff. She's a fellow traveller like me!

Travelling Part 2

Shock to the system with an early start, darkness and freezing breath outside!

Just done bus ride to Crewe station and now sat in warm waiting room for my train down to Cardiff.
